Binifaldó Refuge

The Binifaldó houses are located on the homonymous public estate managed by the Balearic Institute of Nature (IBANAT). In these facilities, environmental education activities are carried out aimed at the general public and schools. It combines this teaching function with that of shelter.

The maximum capacity of the shelter is thirty people distributed in four rooms. The houses have a porch, a fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms and showers, a living room with a fireplace, electricity and heating.

The houses of Binifaldó are accessed from the road from Pollenga to Llue (Ma-10) along a paved road that first passes by the houses of Menut and continues to the Coll des Pedregaret. The route is approximately 3.5 km.

Refuge of the Port of Sa Calobra

The Port de Sa Calobra mountain refuge is located in the municipality of Escorca, on the coastline, next to the mouth of the Torrent de Pareis, one of the few accesses to the sea of the emblematic Serra de Tramuntana. Located in an old building renovated and adapted in the 90s for different municipal uses. In 2014, a part of this disused building was enabled as the only accommodation in this privileged enclave on the island of Mallorca. The Port de Sa Calobra shelter has capacity for ten people and has basic services such as running water and electricity. It is divided into a bedroom with five double bunk beds with mattresses, a multipurpose room equipped with a kitchen, which includes a small ceramic hob, a refrigerator and a microwave; rectangular table, benches and fireplace; a bathroom consisting of two sinks, two toilets and two showers, as well as a large paved terrace at the foot of the sea from which you can enjoy the unparalleled crystalline waters of the North coast of Mallorca. Refuge users will also have parking space for up to four vehicles. The Port de Sa Calobra, where the refuge is located, is the arrival point of one of the best-known excursions in the Serra de Tramuntana, that of the Torrent de Pareis, whose mouth is just a few meters away, and forms to an impressive natural monument that culminates in a beautiful cove of sand and pebbles, framed by two high cliffs. It is a privileged place to enjoy the wild landscapes and large cliffs of this area of ​​the mountains from which, in addition, you can take different itineraries to enjoy nature, such as the route to the hermitage of Sant Llorenç (between Cala Tuent and Sa Calobra) and access to the Cala Tuent Tower. As a matter of cultural interest, on the first Sunday in July, just 500 meters from the refuge, the traditional Concert del Torrent de Pareis is held in the natural theater formed by the high mountain walls that surround the mouth of this famous torrent. The shelter is located on the ground floor of the multipurpose building of the Port de Sa Calobra in the municipality of Escorca. It can be reached by car or bus, along the Sa Calobra road (MA 2141) and on foot, through the Torrent routes. of Pareis and Sa Costera. Likewise, it can also be accessed by sea using the boats that leave daily from the Port of Sóller or by private boat. (X coordinates 482843_Y 4411250).

Cúber Refuge

The refuge is located on the shore of the Cúber reservoir, which occupies almost the entire homonymous plain (Pla de Cúber). At 750 meters above sea level, it is surrounded by the highest mountains of the Sierra de Tramuntana.

It was built by the Institute for Nature Conservation (ICONA) in 1978 initially to shelter fishermen and was renovated as a shelter in the 1990s.

It has capacity for 6 people, being adapted so that one of the seats can be occupied by a person with reduced mobility.

It is accessed by a path located at km 34 of the Pollenga-Andratx highway (Ma-10), on the edge of the reservoir. Or from Sóller on foot up the Barranc de Biniaraix, one of the scenic wonders of the Serra de Tramuntana.

Gorg Blau Refuge

It is a small refuge located on the shore of the Gorg Blau reservoir. It was built in 1978 and was initially only adapted to provide shelter for fishermen; Later, in the 90s, it was renovated as a shelter. It is a very simple building, without running water or electricity, with a maximum capacity of eight people. Location: On the side of the Gorg Blau reservoir. Reservations: 971 177 652, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Son Amer Refuge

The refuge is located on the Son Amer estate acquired by the Consell Insular de Mallorca in 1999 with the purpose of forming part of the Pedra en Sec Route project (GR-221).

Due to its location, the refuge can be used as a starting or arrival point for excursions of great interest, such as the Cami Vell de Lluc (through which it links to the GR-222 Artá-Lluc route, currently in the completion phase). , the climb to Puig Tomir through Coll Pelat, the climb to La Mola and Puig d’En Gaileu, the Cami Vell de Pollença and, in short, all those that have as their center the Sanctuary of Lluc, with which Son Amer is linked by a bridle path.

You can take excursions through the public estates of Binifaldó, Menut, Mortitx and Ses Figueroles.

Tossals Verds Refuge

Located on the public estate of Tossals Verds. The houses, built in the 19th century, are near a small orchard, 525 meters high, right next to the old road from Alaró to Almallutx and in a landscape dominated by the mountains of s’s’Alcadena and Puig des Tossals. Verds. There is a network of signposted paths that connect the farm and allow you to choose between several itineraries.

We can choose the climb to the Puig de Tossals Verds of 1,115 meters, or we dare to reach the Puig d’En Galileu of 1,188 meters, following the dry stone route. It can be accessed via stage 6 of the GR 221, from Sóller via stage 7, from Lluc or via variant G from Orient.

With your own vehicle you can access it from Lloseta, along the Almadrà road, where there is a small parking area near the Son Ordinas estate.

Lavanor Refuge

The Lavanor refuge is located on the public estate of Mortix. To access the facility you have to travel about 3.3 km along the Ses Basses road. It is an austere building without running water or electricity although in an exceptional environment. It has capacity for ten people. Location: Mortix public estate. Refugio de sa Coma de Binifaldó

El refugio se encuentra en la finca pública de Binifaldó. Fue construido hace unos ochenta años como refugio para los agricultores y sus aperos y ha sido reformado recientemente para hacer breves estancias. Para acceder al refugio se debe seguir el camino de la Coma de Binifaldó que comienza en el aparcamiento situado enfrente del área recreativa de Menut Il y finaliza en el Camí Vell de Lluc a Pollença, cerca de las casas de Binifaldó. La distancia del área recreativa al refugio es de unos 800 metros por un camino en buen estado.

Els Pixarells and Ca s’Amitger camping area

The Ca s’Amitger camping area is located very close to the parking area of the Sanctuary of Lluc. It is equipped with bathrooms, showers and stoves.

The Es Pixarells camping area is located at kilometer 17 of the Ma-10 highway, on the Menut public estate. It has 4 tables with benches, 10 stoves, 6 of them covered, 5 construction bathrooms and garbage containers.

Hospederia Sanctuary of Lluc

The Sanctuary of Lluc is the pilgrimage destination par excellence in Mallorca, not in vain it was the first Marian Sanctuary in the Balearic Islands in the 13th century. Every year, climbs are organized in honor of the Mare de Déu de Lluc from many towns.

In addition to its religious character, the Lluc Sanctuary offers a privileged location to enjoy the tranquility and landscapes of the Serra de Tramuntana.

Its facilities house a guest house with 81 rooms and 21 apartments with kitchen. The typology of the rooms is very varied: from single rooms to rooms for 4, 5 or 6 people. All of them equipped with internet, heating and television. You can choose the option of breakfast only, half board or full board.
