Cultural and Spiritual Routes in Escorca
CULTURE & SPIRIT
Walk through history, heritage and spirituality
Escorca is much more than nature: it is a land of legends, traditions and spirituality. These routes invite you to discover emblematic spaces such as Lluc, ancient pilgrimage routes, iconic viewpoints and places steeped in history.
The cultural and spiritual routes are designed for those who want to connect with the living history of the municipality and explore the landscape with a deeper understanding.
From monasteries and boundary crosses to dry stone buildings and testimonies of the rural past, these walks offer a leisurely, reflective and enriching experience.

From Lluc, the route continues to a left-hand turn and, a few metres later, to the right, passing through a gate to enter the football field. The field is crossed and a small bridge gives access to a karst erosion environment. The cobbled path climbs through a holm oak forest with buckthorn and undergrowth of lemon-scented rockrose and mastic, reaching the pas des Bous. In a few minutes you arrive at a sitja, a point where you can take the detour towards Es Camell and the nearby viewpoint. On the way back, the path continues with a moderate slope through forest and areas of reed grass, until a fork where the right-hand trail leads to the Cometa des Morts. The cavity is reached by following a small trail inside the holm oak wood, passing an olive tree with a “V”-shaped trunk and a sitja circle. The entrance is a narrow corridor descending underground. The return is made by retracing the path to the road, which is followed briefly before descending along a wide track that leads back to the football field and the starting point.

Arrival at old olive fields (Sivellins de Binifaldó) with views of Puig Tomir and Moleta de Binifaldó. Connection with the Camí vell de Lluc to Pollença, a visit to the alzina d’en Pere and panoramic views of several peaks of the Serra.
